Mahavishgarbha Taila is a potent medicated oil prepared with sesame oil infused with a rich decoction of herbs such as Nirgundi, Ashwagandha, Dasamoola and Eranda.
It is traditionally applied via abhyanga (massage) or kati basti (lower-back oil retention) to relieve joint-pain, muscle stiffness, lumbar spondylosis (katishoola), and deep Vata-imbalance.
Use involves applying warm oil to affected areas, massaging gently, then keeping the area covered/warmed to aid absorption.
